But today is a better day, work-wise. I'm not sure, but I think it has everything to do with me working out at lunch. OR, it could be that I've been reciting my mantra: "It's just a job, it's not my life. It's just a job, it's not my life."
It's all good.

Kudos to Mike, he got it right again.
We ain't what we own, we're what owns US.. or what we LET own us..
My mortgage pretty much owns me.

You work to live not live to work!!
I think I will use your method. I never thought of it that way.
Ugh. I have spent SO MANY DAYS uttering your exact mantra.
Jobs it actually helped me get through:
1) Family Fun Center manager
2) Groundskeeper (garbage collector)
3) Temp
Jobs wherein it just wasted my voice:
1) Student teacher
2) Customer service rep
3) Dishwasher in the kitchen of my college dorm
My fingers are crossed for you.
Yup, words to try to live by. Unfortunately, it didn't work out too great for me.
I hear you.. I think life just likes to do crappy stuff to see if you still are on the ball with things. Trust me I know
