Scott just called. He's on his way to Bastrop, to play golf with one of his friends. They saw a wreck. An 18-wheeler and a Yukon. Collision. Rolled down an embankment. Scott and his friend stopped and ran out to help. Yukon-man was dead. 2 carseats in the back, pics of his wife and children strewn about.
I know that a family has been changed even before they know that daddy was in an accident.
Pray for that family.

Prayers are being said even as I type...
OMG! Way to sad to say anything more.

Puts everything into perspective! Words can never begin to express this emotion.
So sad. So, how is Scott handeling it? On New Years day of this year, my bil and his friend had somewhat of the same experience (only they were actually able to rescue everyone in the truck before it caught on fire)on the way to our house. They really thought one of the girls was going to die. The whole experience really traumatized them for quite some time.
So, so sad for that family.
Brutal. And people in those SUV's feel safe, but when it's against a big rig, it ain't going to end well.
stephie....
i'm so sorry. whether or not you even knew the people involved, i know you well enough to know that your heart breaks for them. i'm soooo soooo sorry. for everyone. my prayers are with the family and with you. i know how hard you take these things. please know i'm with ya, friend.
That is so horrible; I hope Scott is doing better today, witnessing something of that nature...regardless of whether you know the person or not...really can put a scar on you for awhile.
